Facebook Places was launched about a month back in the US. Then, it led all the way to Japan and the UK. Now, finally, Facebook Places has landed up in the country of Canada. Canadian Facebook users should now be able to see the feature popping up on their screens.

The new feature was a result of the popularity of other similar services like the Foursquare for instance. Facebook is hoping to get even this service very popular.

Facebook has particularly had no luck in the country with its services. Very recently we saw the Canadian government stating that the website was not following the country’s privacy policy. This was a heated issue and eventually, Facebook had to change its whole privacy policy. Now, as the new service is up, this should not bring up any more issues for the company. But what if it does? What do you think? Are there any such chances?
