BlackBerry Bold 9790 Will Launch on November 25th
The latest and greatest BlackBerry Bold, the 9790, will launch on November 25th. It isn’t coming first to the US or the UK though – instead it’s Indonesia that gets the nod.
The new phone replaces the Bold 9780 as their moderately high-end handset with a QWERTY hardware keyboard – compare to the keyboard-less Curve Touch 9380. The 9780 has a fairly good set of specifications, with a 2.44” touchscreen at 360 x 480 and a 1 GHz single core CPU. The phone’s internal storage is quite normal, with 8 GB available and a micro-SD card slot so another 32 GB can be added. The phone will use the latest version of the BlackBerry OS, 7.
The phone will be sold in Indonesia for the equivalent of €380, $510 or £325. No word yet on whether that pricing will actually be at those figures in the US or the UK, but with the 25th rapidly approaching expect to hear more news on that front soon.
