Google’s mobile operating system, Android, is finding its place in more than just smartphones and tablets. The OS has already reached a watch prototype, and many other small devices. And now, here is a very small, box-like computer which is running on Android. You can literally carry this computer in your pant’s back pocket. The little computer has no display, but has a camera mounted on it, with a speaker and mic. This means that when you talk to it (yes, it voice-activate), it talks back to you.

Lenovo confirms plans for Internet TV and cloud services

Lenovo has leaked a word of what we could expect the company to show off in the coming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2012. Lenovo is now the world’s second largest computer manufacturer, outdoing Asus and Dell in the competition. But this is only in the traditional PC department. Now, the company is all set to venture into new markets, bringing in competitive products such as smartphones and tablets. To add to this line of devices, Lenovo is all set to introduce its version of internet-based TV and cloud services. But will it be able to survive?

Sony improved social network integration in its Bravia TV with an update

Sony has recently released an update to its Bravia line of TVs. This update is sure to make a lot of people happy. The update may even bring up new customers. The new update now allows you to watch YouTube videos in HD. This means only those YouTube video which have been recorded in HD and uploaded in HD. Before the update, you were not able to watch YouTube video in HD at all.

Acer’s 27-inch HR274H monitor converts 2D to 3D in real time

If you are very keen on having all of your content converted to 3D, here is one good solution. Acer has released a new monitor, a 27-inch one, which Acer promises will convert all your 2D content to 3D in real time. The 27-inch HR274H comes with a pair of passive, polarized 3D glasses for out of the box entertainment. Acer says that the monitor has the company’s own “chip-based solution” to convert 2D content into 3D content.

Are you ready for TVs with built-in Kinect?

If you are gamer, you know what Microsoft Kinect is. For other who dont know, its an add-on for the Xbox 360 which has two cameras and detects motions in front of it. It is used with games on the Xbox 360 for gestures. So you can just dance in front of it when you are playing Dance Central and that’s it. Or you can swing your arm in front of it and when you are playing Tennis on your Xbox, you dont need any remote or gamepad or controller of any sort, just your empty hands. So what does this have to do with your TV? Well, that is the supposed future of TVs.

Samsung to launch Google TV next year

When Adobe announced that it will be stopping the development of Flash for both mobile and TV, Google TV got some shock in this spine. Sony and Logitech backed out of the market, but it looks like Samsung to enter it. We have heard of a rumor that LG might also showcase Google TV at CES 2012. Samsung might come in the competition as well.

LG might showcase Google TV at CES 2012

After Adobe officially announced that it is going to show all development work on Flash for TV, Google TV users were alarmed. That sounds perfectly logical. Also, Logitech announced that it will stopping kidding itself and it will drop the whole Google TV stuff. When this is the case, another major company is interested to enter the completely shaken market. LG, world’s second largest TV manufacturer, is said to showcase a Google TV at CES next year.

Video shows Google TV running Honeycomb

There have been rumors about Google working on porting the tabelt-specific OS of its mobile platform, Honeycomb, on to Google TV as well. Even though the project is still at beta stage, a person by name Chris H, has been able to get a leaked copy of the OS and has been successful in installing it on his Logitech Revue. He has posted some pics and a 13-min video of the OS running on his Smart TV.
