Acer Iconia Tab A110 shows up with Jelly Bean

Acer Iconia Tab A110

Acer Iconia Tab A110 has been in the news for some time now, and this is majorly because the device is a true Google Nexus 7 competitor in the same price range and with almost the same configuration. When the tab was first announced, the pictures showed Android 4.0, or Ice Cream Sandwich, on the device. But today, an online retailer has listed the product online and the image shows Android 4.1 Jelly Bean being installed on the tablet. This is going to be a huge competition between the two as the two tablets are very close in the price and specs, and now the OS as well.

The Acer Iconia Tab A110 has a 1.2GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of on-board memory. But unlike the Nexus 7, the Tab A110 has a microSD card slot for some extra storage space. This is certainly going to be an advantage over the Nexus 7 for potential buyers who prefer extra storage. The device centers on a 1024×600 display, while it also incorporates GPS and GLONASS support.

Buyers in the UK can pre-order the tablet now for £180, but for people in North America, there is no news about the release yet. Are you excited about this new tablet?
