There are rumors that Motorola is working on releasing two new tablets, a 10.1 inch Xoom 2, and an 8.2 inch Xoom 2 Media Edition. It is said that both of these tablets will ship with Honeycomb and will be 9mm thick (or thin), a bit thicker than the iPad 2. The Xoom 2 Media Edition is also said to be a bit high on the entertainment side with an IPS display and other features. And there is a new set or rumors today.
The new rumors say that the tablets are even thicker measuring 9.3mm, and they will also have a 5MP camera each. It is said that the Android 3.2 OS sitting on these tablets is extremely buggy as it is causing the apps to crash abruptly and rebooting the tablet very frequently. It is said that Motorola is (obviously) working on fixing this. And if the tablets dont make it to the market in 2011 due to all these issues, they may be released next year with Ice Cream Sandwich, the yet to be released version of Android.
One actually interesting rumor about the Xoom 2 tablets is that they will come equipped with 4G LTE radios. This has to be a bit far fetched, but if it turns out to be true, there is nothing to feel bad about. So lets just hope that they come this year with an LTE radio in them.
