Toshiba has released two new netbooks to its range of netbooks, the NB520 and the NB500. NB520 is the higher end netbook out of the two and there are reasons to say that. But there are a lot of similarities between the two. Lets take a look. This model also comes with embedded Harman/Kardon stereo speakers with 2 x 2 watts output and Dolby Advanced Audio technology. So this model will satisfy those who need good multimedia with good portability.

The NB520 runs on an Intel Atom N550 processor and has up to 2GB of DDR3 RAM. It has Bluetooth 2.1 installed and the specs say that this is upgradable to Bluetooth 3.0 later. With a standard 6 cell battery, the netbook gives up to 10 hours of battery backup. And the sleep and music via microphone port is one of the useful feature.

The NB500, on the other hand, runs on an Intel Atom N455 processor and 1GB of DDR2 RAM, but this can be upgraded to 2GB. But still, its DDR2. The netbook comes with a 3 cell battery and the battery backup will be around 4.5 hours. But if you get a 6 cell battery for this, you will probably get around 8 hours.
