BlackBerry Bold 9900 White

The much awaited white BlackBerry Bold 9900 was finally released earlier today by Research in Motion (RIM) in the UAE. The phone comes with the new BlackBerry OS 7 and has packed in a lot of new features. To begin with, its 10.5 mm thick, or thin if you will. A thin profile by some standards. Also, it has both a touch screen and a full QWERTY keypad, which is the actual BlackBerry style. A statement from the company said:

The new phone is 10.5mm, and offers the perfect union of a high performance keyboard and touch display integrated within the BlackBerry Bold design.

Next, the white BlackBerry Bold 9900 comes with Near Field Communication (NFC). This means all your payments will be electronic, just like that lot of Android smartphones. This is a fairly new technology which just requires one brief touch of the devices to transfer data or to make payments. So next time you walk into a store which has implemented NFC payment system, you just have to touch your Bold 9900 to that device and your bill will be paid, if you have already set up your NFC that is.

The new BlackBerry OS 7 on the Bold 9900 has a Webkit-based browser which according to the company is up to 40% faster than the one found on the BlackBerry OS 6 and up to 100% faster to the one on the BlackBerry OS 5. The browser has also improved zooming and panning functions, along with hardware acceleration. The company also says that the HTML5 compatibility of the browser will enable for better experience of gaming and videos.

So, are you up for this new BlackBerry Bold 9900, in snow white?
