Droid RAZR Maxx Announced

Motorola have announced the latest phone in their stable – the upgraded Motorola Razr Maxx. The Maxx is a slightly thicker version of the thin-as-all-heck Motorola Razr: 8.99 mm instead of 7.1 mm, to be exact.

Where most new phones are thinner than their predecessors, it’s cool to see one that goes the other way. By putting on the extra pounds, the Maxx will reportedly include a larger battery that lasts for a rather astonishing 21 hours of talk time.

The rest of the phone’s internals are precisely the same – a 4.3” Super AMOLED screen running at qHD resolutions (that’s 960 x 540 pixels), a dual core OMAP processor running at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD. The rear and front-facing cameras are also the same, at 8 megapixels and 1.3 megapixels respectively.

The new RAZR Maxx will cost $299.99 on contract from Verizon, so save your pennies if you want to experience the long-lasting, high performance phone.
