Do you know you can save the text messages you have on your phone? Well, not all phones support this. I had a Sony Ericsson K750i, long back, and I was able to export all the text messages I had on it in the form of an HTML page with a software on my PC, called FMA Mobile Agent. But now, I dont use that phone. And the Android that I have, doesn’t give me the option to export SMS like that. But now, I’ve found an app for that, and you dont need a PC.

SaveSMS for Android

SaveSMS is an app which you can install on your Android phone, and you can save any SMS thread you have on your phone. You need to link the account to your Gmail account. This makes the app a lot easier to use. You dont need to create another account to use another app on your phone (I wish all apps use Gmail/Twitter/Facebook as a login). Once you have done this, you are all set to save your favorite SMS chat, the one you had with your girl/boy friend.

You need to be connected to internet on your phone if you want this app to work. How to save? Well, you should be done with the chat when you want to save it. You have to select the thread which is to be saved, enter an email address. You need to enter an email address at this stage if you want to send it to a person other than yourself (the email you have used to link to the account). Hit the send button and you will have the whole thread in the inbox. You can now save it on your computer or in the cloud or anywhere you want.

Like this, you can even share it with your friends. You can download SaveSMS for your Android phone from the Android Market.
