Hours after this strategic announcement, Engadget received leaked photos of the first concept Nokia – Windows phone. It is clear that both the camps have started working hard on regaining the market which is rapidly growing in favor of Android. However, Android will be tough to beat, the battle will only get more interesting with the launch of this new device.

The new Nokia devices are expected to replace Google’s Search Engine with Microsoft’s Bing and adCenter will provide ad services. Where as, Nokia’s Ovi Maps will serve as core to Microsoft’s Mapping services and it will see integration with Bing. Also Xbox Live, Office and Microsoft’s Marketplace will see their way onto the new Nokia devices.

Hardware wise, it looks very similar to the Nokia’s recent N8 and C7 devices. Still its the first leak and work is on. One thing is clear that, it’s set to get even better as both the two technology giants are working closer to take on the smartphone market lead by, Android and Apple.
