Android 3.0, or Honeycomb, is no more Open Source

Google calls Android the Linux of smartphones. So the OS, that is Android, is open source. But recently, Google closed the source code of Honeycomb, version 3.0 of Android. The reason? Google says that the OS is not built for smartphones, it’s built for tablets. So it doesn’t want developers taking advantage and building apps on it which can be used on smartphones. The result? Only OEMs and a few developers get the source code of Honeycomb.
